Chemical Peels 

A chemical skin peel is a solution applied to the face to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells. the aim is to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing age spots, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, improving the skin texture and evening out skin tone. The type of acid (e.g.citric, mandelic, lactic, salicylic, glycolic) used will depend on your particular skin concerns and the clinician will discuss what is best for you.  A course of 3 peels is usually recommended at 2-4 week intervals for best results depending on the issues to be treated. Chemical skin peels are also used to treat acne with good results.

After a chemical skin peel it is important to avoid any prolonged sun exposure and always use SPF30 or above.
